FiDA – A New Phase for Financial Data in the EU
The EU’s upcoming FiDA regulation aims to transform how financial data is shared and used. Going beyond PSD2/3, FiDA covers a wide range of data, from loans and investments to insurance and pensions — giving individuals and companies greater control through secure, standardized data sharing.
For financial institutions, FiDA opens the door to new opportunities: more tailored customer solutions, faster onboarding, improved distribution, and more efficient internal processes. At the same time, the shift will require significant investment in IT, standardization, and new operating models.
At Avanti, we are closely tracking the negotiations and analyzing what FiDA means for different market players. The potential impact is substantial once the regulation enters into force.
